Jonathon Van Maren is a writer and prolife speaker who has spoken about abortion and prolife strategy across North America. His talk is entitled “Unconventional Ways of Changing Hearts and Minds.” Jonathon may be young in years but as someone once said, “Intelligence is knowing the answer to the question. Wisdom is knowing the reason for the question.” Jonathon’s wisdom will shine through as he challenges us with ways to engage our brothers and sisters on the opposite side of the life issue, and to revitalize those who have grown weary with battle fatigue.
Jonathon writes a column for LifeSiteNews and his commentary has been translated into six languages and published widely. As a freelancer, he has interviewed people such as the youngest surviving Jew from Schindler’s list, Leon Leyson, commentator Mark Steyn, free speech advocate Ezra Levant, and refugee activist Regina Waldman.
His writing has garnered him an award from B’nai Brith for combatting anti-Semitism in print.
Jonathon graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He is the communications director for the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform.
