Lia Mills became a YouTube sensation at age 12 when her school speech on the topic of abortion got more than a half million views. She faced anger and even received death threats after the video went viral. In response to the comments and threats, Lia has said prolifers must embrace conflict. “The truth is that as prolife people, even if we are Canadian, we cannot avoid conflict, but [we must] embrace it in the right way.”
Now at age 16, Lia continues fighting against abortion as she considers herself to be prolife and pro-woman. Lia believes that she will see an end to abortion in her lifetime. Radical, passionate and on-fire for Jesus, Lia believes that love is the best way to see that happen in a world filled with brokenness.

No Taxes for Abortion Insurance

The federal health care reform law (Affordable Care Act) enacted in March 2010 requires that insurance exchanges be available in all 50 states by 2014. The ACA contains a special provision allowing the states to exclude abortion as a covered benefit. The petition drive needs to happen in 2013 so that Michigan can be ready for the federally required health exchanges which begin in 2014.
The goal is to have all the signatures collected the first week of September 2013.
